We care deeply about the safety, health and happiness of every single one of our puppies, even long after they leave our home.
Because of the growing number of Standard Poodle Cross puppy mills (all needing Standard Poodles to breed with), we need to be extra careful to whom we sell our puppies. We have done an extensive overhaul of our contracts, which now include anti puppy mill safeguards.
To that end, we also now have a ONLINE APPLICATION and SCREENING PROCESS in order to preemptively weed out cross breeders who intend to breed the dog they are looking to purchase (without breeding rights.)
In addition to screening every potential customer's written applications for suitability and safety, our application helps us to make sure that your new canine friend is absolutely a good fit, and that their temperament, size and activity needs match your family’s lifestyle and standard poodle "bucket list."

If, we have the perfect puppy for you after we have reviewed your APPLICATION and we have had our phone interview, we will then email you our Contract for you to electronically sign through "SquareUp” along with the invoice.
You can pay for your LUXE Puff Puppy and all supplies and / or your optional purchase of a Luxe Puff Puppy Kit - securely from the comfort of your own home - right on your SquareUp invoice which ACCEPTS all major CREDIT and DEBT CARDS.
We will invoice for the full cost of your puppy as well as any and all EXTENDED CARE and / or GROUND or AIR CARGO DELIVERY COSTS.

When available, we are happy to SHIP your LUXE Puff Puppy to an airport near you (within the Continental United States and or Territories), by Alaska Airlines Air Cargo.
We will also work with an outside ground or air delivery organization of your choosing.
We can REFER you to a PUPPY NANNY, who will fly in cabin with your puppy under their seat.
We also can REFER you to a licensed and insured International PET SHIPPER for our customers who want their puppy shipped out of the United States
and
We can REFER you to USDA licensed, insured and bonded Ground Transport Companies.
AIR CARGO:
We can fly your PUPPY via "Air Cargo" to most airports that ALASKA AIRLINES flies JETS into. Because of the extra time energy and work involved in getting a puppy ready for air cargo transport, we do charge a $200.00 “Puppy Delivery Fee" to arrange and prepare your PUPPY for Air Cargo travel to you.
We will get all necessary health checks, USDA health certificates, make the reservation, purchase all necessary supplies. You will be responsible for paying Alaska Airlines directly for the full cost of the cargo ticket, as well as all other costs associated with Air Cargo Delivery, including the costs for the kennel, bedding and the bowls that are necessary to fly your PUPPY.
PUPPY NANNY:
You can also hire a "Puppy Nanny" to fly with your PUPPY under their seat in the cabin. We can refer you to Puppy Nannies and or resources to help you find one. We charge a $100 fee for bringing your PUPPY to the airport and meeting your Nanny. You are responsible for paying the Puppy Nanny directly and in full and for all costs associated with Puppy Nanny transport.
GROUND TRANSPORT:
We can also refer you to USDA licensed Ground Transport Companies, who can pick up your puppy here, and deliver them safely - right to your door. You are responsible for paying the Ground transport companies directly and in full and for all costs associated with Ground Transport. Because of the extra time energy and work involved in getting a puppy ready for ground transport, we do charge a $200.00 “Puppy Delivery Fee" to arrange transport of your PUPPY to you.

Rocky Mountain LUXE Puff Standard Poodles are “ROYAL” or EXCEPTIONALLY SIZED.
We breed our ROYAL Standard Poodles with our focus on temperament, size and confirmation.
Our average ROYAL male LUXE Puff Puppies will grow to be 75 pounds with some growing to be 80 - 100 pounds.
Likewise our average ROYAL female LUXE Puff Puppies will grow to be at least 65 pounds and some could get as big as 75 - 90 pounds.

Some people get very upset at the use of the term “ROYAL” regarding Standard Poodles.
We do not understand the heated controversy concerning the term.
Here is our short but sweet acknowledgment and response to the issue.
ROYAL is not a separate breed of Poodle.
Here in the U.S.A. "ROYAL" is an ADJECTIVE and is universally understood to describe a Standard Poodle that will be LARGER than the average Standard Poodle, just as “MOYEN” is an ADJECTIVE which is ALSO universally understood - to mean a Standard Poodle that will be smaller than average.
We are breeding for the ROYAL SIZE and TEMPERAMENT- which we find to be as sweet and loving as they come.

Our Rocky Mountain LUXE Puff Litters may have Brown, Red, Apricot, Cafe Au Lait, Cream, Black, Blue, Silver, or White colored Puppies, depending on the breeding pair. We may even be lucky enough to occassionally get a flashy Phantom, Brindle or Sable Puppy! We do not ever have any Parti Puppies.
Some of our Brown Rocky Mountain LUXE Puff Puppies will stay a dark Bittersweet Chocolate Brown - while others will fade into a lighter Hershey's Chocolate Brown coat which will often then fade and mature into a Silver Beige with a lovely metallic Bronze undercoat and darker long outer coat. Still other Brown puppies will mature into beautiful ombre'd Sable coats with dark outer tips like a wolf.
Some of our Red LUXE Puff Puppy's coats will mature into a Golden Brown Auburn, and some will mature into shimmering Coppery Rose Gold or even Golden Apricot coats.
Our Apricot LUXE Puff Puppies will commonly fade into a lighter Apricot as they mature, some will keep their Coppery undertones, and others will turn into a Golden "Yellowstone Yellow", Creme or even White.
Our Black LUXE Puff Puppy's coats will likely fade to a Smoky Charcoal with some Pups maturing into coats with Silver Phantom flashing up their legs and across their chests; and others will fade into beautiful Silver or (Indigo) Blue.
Our (True) White, (Milk colored) Creme or (Gorgeous Champagne colored) Cafe Au Lait Puppies will all likely remain mostly true to their adolescent coat colors.

! The secret is out !
Some breeders use dark lighting, photo shop or actually dye their dogs hair to make their coats appear to be darker (or lighter) than they truly are. If you find a photo of a deep mahogany colored "red" adult Standard Poodle, be wary and use a critical eye, as the photograph and or even the dog's color is likely to have been "enhanced" via hair dye, lighting and or photo shop. These practices are very confusing for prospective buyers, who then SEARCH, high and low, for these very dark colored Poodles believing they are naturally colored adults! They aren't natural and they definitely aren't normal.
There ARE MANY naturally deep Copper Red Standard Poodle Puppies, but not many, IF ANY, naturally deep Copper Red ADULT Standard Poodles. Most breeders won't tell you that ALL Standard Poodle coats will "fade" by some degree, often into a significantly lighter color, as the Puppy matures into adulthood. This fading is part of Standard Poodle genetics. The ONLY poodle color considered to be "non fading" is the "Dominant" Black coat, and EVEN THEY will fade into a dark Charcoal with Grey hairs mixed in.
Rocky Mountain LUXE Puff Poodles will not dye, chalk, bleach or use any kind of coloration on our Puppies or Dogs in photographs to make them look as if their coat is a darker red or a deeper brown than they naturally are. Further, we try to ONLY post photographs of our Puppies and Dogs taken outside in full daylight, time and weather permitting, so that you can REALLY SEE their coat's true natural color. We will not use filters on our photographs, nor will we photograph them in any way to purposefully obfuscate their true coloring. We see no reason to, we like to show off those beautiful coats!
We believe that all of the the earthy colors and natural gradients of all Standard Poodles coats are simply gorgeous, without any cosmetic "enhancements." We want our customers to understand the changing nature of the Standard Poodle Coat, to be prepared for it, and truly appreciate the beautiful changes that will occur to your LUXE Puff Puppy's coat as they mature. We want you to love those changes as much as we do.

Whether a Red or Apricot Standard Poodle has a Brown or Black nose is wholly dependent on whether the Brown Standard Poodle genetics (which always has a Brown nose) is stronger than the Black or White Standard Poodle genetics (both of which always have Black noses) of the line. Thus, some of our Red and Apricot LUXE Puff Puppies will have Brown noses, while other LUXE Puff Puppies will have Black noses, depending on the genetic mix of the breeding adult pair that created that particular puppy.
The A.K.C. officially recognizes the genetics of both the Red and Apricot Standard Poodle as a "fade" of the Brown Standard Poodle Coat. And as such, the A.K.C. officially deems a Brown nosed Red or Apricot Standard Poodle as "correct" as ALL Brown Standard Poodles have Brown noses!
But alas, in the dog show ring, a Red, Apricot or Creme Standard Poodle is faced with automatic points deducted from their "score" for their Brown nose (which the AKC has deemed as correct and which we believe is beautiful and perfect.) And (double alas and many sighs later), we have been told by breeders who show their dogs, that a Brown or Liver nose on a Red, Apricot or Creme Standard Poodle is, in their opinion "incorrect."

We gleefully admit to the world that we think that every single Brown nose is worth more than it's weight in gold.

As beautiful as they may be, and contrary to the fancy shmancy haircuts they are most commonly known for, Standard Poodles are not "frou frou" Dogs. Standard Poodles are very fast, rugged, strong, energetic and extremely smart, family and sporting canines.
The name "Poodle" or "Pudel" was originally derived from the word "puddle" because of their natural and instinctual love of water. This is why so many Standard Poodles make such great canine companions for water sports such as sailing, boating, fishing and hunting. As natural and skilled retrievers, they make excellent bird hunting Dogs and have been used by people all over the world to hunting and retrieve. Many Standard Poodles even hold A.K.C. championship titles in sporting competitions. One of our LUXE Puff Puppies has gone on to be a family / hunting Dog at big commercial hunting ranch and is presently learning to "out hunt" the labradors. Many of our customers are training and using their LUXE Puff Poodle to hunt as well as being the family pet.
Though they are fantastic sporting Dogs, with lots of "go, go go", Standard Poodles love all of those "Lazy Dog Days" at home lying around, sleeping and snuggling. Because of their wonderful "low gear", they do make excellent canine companions for those who live in apartments and or those who have a slower lifestyle than say climbing a mountain everyday. You do not have to be a hunter, a triathlete or even "outdoorsy" to own a Standard Poodle. Yes, all Standard Poodles do need a good amount of exercise every single day, (for their health and sanity as well as for yours), but they enjoy a good walk, a run in the yard chasing a ball, and even a day in town.
